There’s nothing like watching your favorite sports team with your friends at a watch party — but then realizing the quality barely does the players or the game justice. Samsung aims to solve that problem for college football fans by introducing their very first Samsung TV Transfer Portal— and yes, it’s just as kooky and fun as it sounds.
Today, January 19 only, football fans can “transfer” to a watch party with a Samsung TV between the hours of 4 p.m. ET and 9 p.m. ET. The task is simple: if you catch yourself at a watch party with a subpar TV (a.k.a. a non-Samsung TV), you can send a picture of your (or your friend’s) non-Samsung TV setup to Samsung (@SamsungUS) on Instagram or X.
The first 900 people to DM Samsung will get $50 in Venmo credit to “transfer” to a party with a Samsung setup — or you can use it toward the purchase of your future Samsung TV, as there are a ton on sale at Amazon right now.
Sukhmani Mohta, Chief Marketing & Partnerships Officer, Home Entertainment at Samsung Electronics America, adds, “Our TV Transfer Portal is a fun way to celebrate college football fandom by helping fans level up their game-day experience with the best TV technology.”
As someone who owns a total of three Samsung TVs (two in my New Jersey apartment) and a brand-new one at my parents’ place in Mumbai, I can safely say that sports games look clear, vivid, and extremely immersive on both Samsung 4K and 8K TVs. I’ve spent hours watching cricket matches with my dad, each of us having our own watch parties at home with a bowl of samosas and beer.
Join in on the fun, and don’t forget to DM Samsung between 4 and 9 p.m. ET on January 19 for a chance to win $50 in Venmo credit.

This UHD TV is one of the most affordable smart TVs you can buy. It has Alexa built-in and also features a 4K upscaling processor to deliver even richer visuals on all your sports games. Samsung TVs also offer smoother motion for both sports games and video games thanks to their Motion Xcelerator technology, and this budget pick features it too.
A TV that doubles as art when not in use? Sign me up. I own and love this TV, and it was one of my top product picks for 2025. Not only is the TV super easy to set up for first-time Samsung users, but you’ll be pleasantly surprised by how balanced the visuals are — even in bright light. This is the aforementioned TV my dad and I enjoy watching cricket matches on.
If you want the most immersive visuals, this 4K OLED TV is it. The TV’s AI processor naturally keeps motion steady, making it easier to keep your eye on the ball during fast-paced games. There’s noticeably less flickering, and even watching multiple sports games won’t give you that eye-strain headache most other 4K TVs might. Colors are clear and balanced, and it’s Amazon’s No. 1 bestseller in OLED TVs.
